Title: Impression, thoughts, feelings, or reviews of the Blue Solid Carbide?
Post by: A_P_K on September 23, 2003, 11:08:45 PM
Other than the reviews posted here, anyone have thoughts or feelings on the Blue Solid Carbide?  I have a friend who's looking to get his hands on that one as his first "Saw".  He would like to know if there's anything "special" about it so to speak.

Thanks Saw Heads

I was just about to post an entire topic on my new Blue Solid.

Depending on how much hand your friend has it may be too much ball for medium conditions.

Give us more info about him

Wow,  Bjaardker.....that's quite a coincidence.

He doesn't have much hand at all anyways, I'll wait and read what you feel about it.

Thanks

I had one and yes it was to much on the clean backends and also not so good on the light stuff.Worked best for me with a sheen finish. If I ever got to use it on a medium to light blend it was awsome. It could be difficult to figure out if drilled to aggresive, keep the drilling simple on this one.Its all about the great matchup between the core and cover that makes this ball a winner.I also noticed that it took to static weight changes real good.I drilled several of these and if I kept the drilling simple 4x105 degree or 4x5,4-1/2x45=4-1/2x3 they had a different reaction to them with static changes.
