Lane #1 cant or wont put out a remake of the original Comet Pro.  THAT is one Lane #1 creation I have enjoyed tremendously.

Bowling balls are essentially the same.  They're all round, they all have holes in them, and sometimes they even strike when you want them to.

Darren,

I have one, used from someone else if you'd like to buy it from me I'll let it go at a measly $40 shipped.

I can get all the info when I get home from work and PM you with it.

I know it is 16lbs though.

I probably cant afford it.

To those who have used one, how does it compare to anything in their current lineup?

Gary,

It has the upside down Viper Core, suited for similar conditions to the Viper...Darren would know alot he's thrown the ball before.

I guess it would be similar to the Viper...

Would kill for one 14#.......
The Comet Pro, in itself, provides a nice smooth arc for me at least.  Better suited for a med-dry to dry shot against today's conditions.  It would be a milder version of the ORIGINAL Viper solid, but really wouldn't compare to anything in Lane #1's current production line.  The "Half" diamond core in the CPro really didn't overreact, which made it a VERY underrated ball in its day.  If you know of anyone who has a 14#, send em my way.
