I have mine label drilled with the pin at about 4:30 from ring finger.I shot 300 for the 5th game on the ball. The shot was a second shift shot after a teachers league.Everyone else on my pair were having trouble getting the ball to the pocket. But I feel that thier is a ball and drilling for everyone.

I feel that Label works better for the slow rollers or the guys who like to play straighter. I have had a few Saws drilled label and didn't have any luck with any of them. Label seemed to be very inconsistent for me on any lane condition.

I am starting to feel the same way, even though I have had several balls work great with the label layout.  Practiced again with my Buzzbomb today, and actually found a use for it.  On lanes with extreme carrydown, I was playing straight up 5 board and experienced a very mild, controlled, even reaction that carried.  My ball is at 4000 grit surface at the moment.

Unfortunately this is the only time I have been able to use it, and this certainly isn't how this ball was advertised or what I bought it for.  I could have bought any old urethane ball and gotten the same result- it actually reminded my of my old Blue Hammer's reaction.

Hey guys, did you by chance verify the Cg position on yours? I'm punching mine up tomorrow and I think I'm going to verify the Cg first thing, because something is sure going on... Just wonder if the rumor I've heard about Cg mismarked can be confirmed.

Hey spray, i guess we should have a massive funeral and burry our Buzzbombs in the bowling ball grave yard. I guess all the people who are having success with the Buzz are out on the lanes right now enjoying their newest toy while we are left here to cry and die.  hope someone helps me to keep hope alive

Well, i've always got my Enriched Uranium!

Lefty, definitely verify the correct CG before drilling. The mis-marked CG rumor on Brunswick made balls is true. I had a Solid Cobalt Bomb with the CG mis-marked by 3" and have heard several others having mis-marked CG's on Lane 1 balls made by Brunswick. I don't know if there was a problem on the balls made by Columbia before they were bought out by Ebonite or not, but I don't think there was. Ditto for the ones being made by Global now.

Both my drillers always verify the CG anyhow before drilling, regardless of what company made the ball.

Label drillings and Lane#1's BOMB cores do not play well with each other unless you are Rudy Revs.  I am a semi-high tracking tweener and had three Lane#1 balls drilled label leverage (33/8x5):
Army Green Carbide BOMB Solid = Dud
Cherry BOMB Pearl = Dud
Black Cherry BOMB Solid = Dud

After wasting close to $750 on those boat anchors, I finally wised-up and decided to with CG-out types of drillings and placing the pin at least 4" from my PAP (ex. 4x3):
Cobalt BOMB Pearl = Money
Cobalt BOMB Solid = Money

Now I have had several Lane#1's drilled label leverage that performed well but never any that were from the BOMB class of cores.

I hope this helps...

I will add this for those who might find it interesting

I tried a label layout and I did not like it.

I have 2 SuperNovas .. drilled one pin high (4.5" from PAP) stacked and it worked exactly like I expected  it.  The second one, the driller and I had to spend some time discussing the layout.  We came up with a modified label.  The pin was about 4" from PAP below the fingers line and the CG was kicked in to the point that the MB was almost (if not) near my track.

the result: the modified label skids more with a very string arc to a snappy finish.  I am actually considering this layout for the buzzbomb to save all its energy for the backend.

Thanks Buzzsaw thrower, No one can convince me that label is a total waste on every ball, cause my BCB, EU, EVOLTION, G-FORCE are all drilled some type of label and they destroy the rack.  I will be willing to bowl a three game set against anybody with my label drilled Enriched Uranium on THS synthetic.  But for the buzzbomb, it just didn't work for me. So, i'm definitely going stack, like my Dirty bomb, when my new ball comes in.
