lack of Lane#1

At the start of this season i have seen very little lane#1. In the past couple of years a lot of people had started using lane#1 and this year its rare to see more then two or three being thrown during school or league. Just really wondering why there would be a decline in usage? I was thinking a lack of new resins.

there where alot in past years and for alot of people around here the price isnt really a factor
