I baught a Red death this past season, and after liking it i baught an agent orange as well. Both balls are cracked around the finger holes in circular cracks and are spreading day by day. The red death has spread to cracking into and through the pin already. I have numerous other balls from other companies and have never had this happen before. Th AO actually only has about 15-20 games on it and it is starting in about the same way as the RD. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem with lane 1? Is there anything i can do about it with the company, or is it just bad luck and i'm sol?

I have seen it in other balls from San Antonio but not L1. But to be honest my exposure to the newest L1 equipment is limited.
All companies have home through times of ball death and cracking issues. I have not had any issues with getting them replaced by any manufacturer.
As Beans said...contact them and they will likely replace them.

If you're getting cracking around the finger holes, the driller may have forgotten to bevel the holes and/or used way too much glue, assuming you're using inserts.

Some covers definately don't like super glue...
Powerkoil 18 hated super glue and spider webbing and hairline cracks were common but rarely broke out

So as long as it doesn't break out it shouldn't effect the roll right? Right now I assume it is just cosmetic, but it is a little dishartening to have this happen so quickly. Also just thought that it was a weird circumstance that it happened to both Lane 1 balls and no others. The driller is a very experienced driller who has also drilled all but one of my other balls so i don't think that is the case but who knows. And the last time i checked there isn't a spelling test portion of bowling leagues and tournaments!

Gun... it just depends on how good you like the ball whether u should fix it or leave it be. I have had a couple balls just like you have stated that never got any worse. I bet I put 50-100 games more on them and never got worse. I go through balls like crazy so I have never had one get so bad I couldnt use it.
The best thing to do is just go ahead and plug the finger, which ever one it is cracked around. If the crack isnt close to the finger and it has to ends, get ur proshop to take their smallest drill bit and drill holes on the ends of the crack to stop it from spreading. Then perhaps plug those two small holes etc. A shop should be willing to help you with this for cheap. And personally, no it has nothing to do with Lane 1 or any other cirtain company for that matter. I have seen this happen to alot of diff manufactories. If you have ever worked in a pro shop then you would know if any company was more worse than another its ebonite. The had a major issue with there plastic balls at one time cracking but it was because they wouldnt giving them enough time to cure and was just trying to increase production.... Just my 2 cents

I've never had a problem with Lane 1 balls cracking and I've owned several.

perhaps the bits were not sharp enough, and drilling through too fast ?
too much super glue ?
no or not enough bevel ?
all are good reasons for cracking.
My gf has an original break, and we are starting to get cracking around the pin and bridge, and my chainsaw is also cracking around the ring finger.
these are the only 2 form G900 I have had any problems with.
Any time I have had any problems w/ L1 gear , I have contaced them and it was made right, above and beyond what would be expected.
