XXXL questions
« on: February 08, 2009, 09:34:09 AM »
I know some internet sellers still have them in stock, but

1. Are they still being manufactured?
2. Are they made in the USA?
3. If in the USA, is 900Global making them?

Thanks.

The Starburst XXXL is still in production.

The Black XXXL is gone (Brunswick made ball).
The Red XXXL is gone (Columbia made ball).
Teh Clear XXXL is gone (made overseas).

Teh multi-color XXXL is in productiona nd they just got a shipment a few weeks ago. They are being manufactured overseas since the plastic technology is far advanced in Korea than here...the colors are better, the plastics are higher quality etc....

If you are looking for one I have a 15# XXXL Starburst in stock and my buddy has a Clear NIB.

Let me know!!

Thanks a ton, Doug.

I was just contemplating one. I was whining in one of the PBA threads about how house shots don't really allow you to play a line, like he did today. That made me think of the XXXL. God only knows I probably have more NIB balls in my basement than you do in your shop, but who would be surprised if I bought another.

(I tried a black XXXL several years ago from you in trade for a used Black Cherry. I didn't like the XXXL, sold/gave to a friend who is still using it 4/5 years later and thanks me for it every time he see me.)

I do still have a Bullet ...
I'll think about the Starburst.

Is this new XXXL going to roll like the Red XXXL? I love my Red XXXL and was just wondering, should I need another later.

Brick,

The Starburst is pretty close to being an exact midpoint between the Red and Black XXXL's. The Red was a bit harder and therefore straighter than the Black which is softer and slightly more hooky.

The Starburst is far more attractive than the old ones though.
