preorders
« on: March 16, 2007, 01:10:46 AM »
Everyone has a preorder on the new balls. Why wont anyone post the prices? This happens every time Lane 1 comes out with a new ball. If the prices were posted I would be more likely to buy. Why do all of you guys want to be messaged for prices, so you can all undercut each other all day long? I just dont understand not posting the prices. It seems everything in the Lane 1 forum is always a secret, makes it lookk bad as a whole.

I'm not sure about this, and I'm sure someone who is can say for sure, but I think it has something to do with not releasing prices until the mainstream shops have them.

The pre-order deals usually knock $$ off of what the actual list price will be in shops. I think they keep that hush-hush so that people don't freak out and say "why should I pay $$ for this ball when I saw it for $$ a week ago?"

I'm not 100% positive on this, but I it's at least part of the reason. I'm sure Triggerman or others will have a definite answer for you.

There are various reasons why the Lane #1 prices arent listed Im
sure.  I would prefer to list them but I am simply going along with the
practice that has been going on over time.

Thanks again
Joe

interesting.. trying to get ppl to buy your product by not listing prices? Thats really different, I guess its kinda like online golf stores who advertise Pro V1's so low you have to call for the price. When I see that I always move on to the next store.

TOTL: You're making this more difficult than it is. There is nothing sinister going on. If you're interested, contact the on-line vendors who post here and they'll give you their best bottom line prices. They can do things (pricing wise) in the background that they can't advertise up front.
