« on: September 01, 2006, 02:21:54 PM »
I'm am very happy about Lane 1's move to columbia for there covers.  This is awesome that there going to keep there balls made in the U.S.A. .  For this reason i'm going to buy there first release with the new columbia coverstock.

What do you guys feel it will be?  What Lane 1 core do you think they will use?  I know that columbia makes some great covers.  I'm interested in which one there going to use.

I hope for something that acts like the Pearl Uranium. Of all the Lane #1 balls I have, I trust the U-Pearl the most when I need to know what's going on with the lanes. It's not always the best choice, but is rarely a bad choice.

OK, I'll take your word about the rule,so I am apologizing for being wrong.
 But,answer this one please............
How can the new Immortal Pearl with a diff of .078 be legal?????? According to the ad from Visionary, all they did was change the density of one of the caps and create a negative mass bias??They're saying that by doing this,it's ok to use.

The Immortal was approved by the USBC in January '05.  Visionary lived up to its name and sent in whatever needed to be approved, then waited until everything was correct with the actual balls before they released them.

In regards to the actual topic, I'd think that Lane 1 should use some kind of superflex.  After all, it'd make sense to use a proven coverstock just to "stick it" to the nay-sayers.

Yes. That ball was approved jan 05 which was before the cutoff date, therefor it is legal as long as they continue production.

the m80 overstock on the action is very strong... and in my opinion alot better than brunswicks solid activator oil absorbing junk

look for a medium to heavy low rg ball first.... with the diamond core

i will ask rich what ball is first, and let u guys know

I vote for a sort of "remake" of the silver diamond... The buzzsaw/c core (diamond with one centered mini) inside of a pearl superflex cover.  Would be a very nice rolling and strong reacting ball for most.
