OK, I am finally getting my first Lane 1 ball after all these years of not being willing to give them a try. Now I am getting a Solid Uranium. Most of my equipment tends to be pearl or polished. I get in trouble when the oil is a little long with my med revs and med speed. I got the solid to complement the longer balls. Any suggestions on drilling and or surface prep. I want it to be consistent and controllable. Hopefully this ball will do this for me if I get some help from you guys.

Please, just one more ball, surely it has a 900 in it.

The Solid Uranium is a great piece. You WILL need oil for this ball to work...it has a pretty strong cover. Depending on your PAP (and ball specs), this may be the perfect ball to use a Rico layout on. This would give you the smooth, predictable move you are looking for.

Thanks nova the rico has intrigued me for a while. This may be a good time to try it.

I have a NIB Solid Uranium that is begging for a Rico... but I have to test it on an Original Inferno that my friend gave me first. I agree that it would be a great choice for the SU.
I have had two different SUs drilled with a label drill that were awesome. I shot my only 800 (so far) with a SU that has a 4 5/8 pin out label leverage drill. Sweet roll.
