Solid Cobalt Bomb - its a beast.

wow. i got it drilled, got it last monday, and hadn't had time to bowl. well, tonight was my night. i pulled this ball out of the bag, then took it to the shop - so i could get the thumb a little smoother/loose feeling. came back, threw the shoes on.

opening game: 252
next game: 267
third game: 290

there is a picture of the drill layout and ball. color reminds me somewhat of the ultimate inferno, but less red.

Unless you have a very low top weight ball, I hope you have a weight hole.  Maybe I can't see it from the picture.

solid cobalt is one of the smoothest balls i have thrown, they have said it is similar to the black raspberry and the blueberry, having had both, that is not a false statement.  the solid is a for real deal ball, perfect compliment to the pearl,  what a fantastic one two punch

yes it is a great ball. i was comparing to the dirty bomb as well. The ball checked up earlier and had a smoother arc to the pocket, while the dirty bomb went longer, since it is pin up above ring, and had more of an angular move. I believe they will be owning a few tournaments pretty soon. =]

Nope, Youth. lol - im only 15. This next year is going to be my experience year. I am going to junior of gold and the pepsi champs - thats next year '07. So i am just preparing myself for the near future.

I agree this bad boy is going to be special.  The backend is pretty strong for a solid ball, at least the way mine is drilled (label-stacked).  Mine on fresh med-heavy acts like my Dirty Bomb on med-light.  That, my friends, is a VERY good thing.

very nice ... I love the DB .. and since this ball has the DB coverstock ( as far as I know ) .. I am expecting it to be no less than the DB

No, the Solid Cobalt doesn't have the DB coverstock.  That would be original Activator Pearl, and this is a different tweak of the Activator/PK18 hybrid cover.  

It is a solid version of the Pearl Cobalt cover, which is some hybrid of Activator+ and PK18.  I think the cover on its own compares very closely to the cover of the Tsunami.

bowled with it yesterday as well. some good scores, and some averages. highest game of the day was a 267. So I am very pleased with what this ball can do for me.
