Thanks for the kind words OLI. I just personally am not one for secrecy when buying products. When someone announces that they have the new and improved, super duper whatever, I want to know why it is new and improved. What has changed to make it so revolutionary? That was one thing that really annoyed me with Brunswick when they developed the Quantum. The core design was all hush hush and then you had to be a participating partner and buy so much to get them etc. So the whole concept just bothers me.
I just got off the phone with Richie and I have basically the same news to report that you did...
They are planning 3 new balls, the first of which will be a solid Cherry Bomb. The second will most likely be a urethane as has been stated before but the Cranberry is still up in the air.
The orignal intention for the Cranberry was to be a color change of the Blueberry but they decided to make it different to a degree. They are indeed modifying the core to give the ball it's own character but they have not yet received all of their test balls to see which design they like the best.
From what I was told, the Cranberry will most likely be the last ball they release for this reason. They have no set in stone pricing either at this point but he did give me some ballpark figures so if anyone is interested, drop me a line.
