Layouts for a new arsenal.
« on: April 15, 2007, 12:03:39 PM »
I'm assuming everyone in this forum has experience with Lane #1 so that's why i posted it here. I'm pretty set on a new arsenal, EU, Cherry Bomb, Dirty Bomb, and Red XXXL. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As for drilling, i looked at Lane 1s site exstensively, I was thinking...

EU Stacked, Cherry Pin High Label, maybe leverage, Dirty, Probably leverage, and XXXL just so it moves when they are fried.

Again any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

#1 I hate label drills so I'd suggest not going with them, they just never work well for me.

EU Stacked is great..  I assume your talking about the Black Cherry Bomb in which cause I would agree with CG Leverage, and same with the Dirty Bomb.  As far as the XXXL I'd go with stacked again.

just because you hate label drill doesn't mean it's not a good drill. what is it with you? just because you don't like something you have to tell everyone not to try it? lol. there's more people that like the label drill than not.

I seem to remember Brett3tiger saying "Again any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated"  So I posted what I thought..  What is with you always running your mouth? I've tried and tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but here you are again trying to pick a fight..

I am in agreement with Zeusjr on this in the fact that the label drill has not worked for me on any of the lane1s with Bomb cores but on the XXL and the Black Rasberry I loved the label so for me it kind of depends on which core is in the ball as for the XXXL mine is layed out with pin above the ring finger and the Cg swung right about 1-1 1/2 inches with a X-Hole on my pap the thing with this layout for me I can use the XXXL as my spare ball and when the lanes are two dry for your stronger equipment the XXXL with this layout has enough pop on the backends to use it as a strike ball hope this helps

LOL.

I like the cherry bomb drilled stacked with the pin up the ring about 2 inches.
This ball is a hook monster for me.

Cut it out boys or it will be the detention class for all of you

EU stacked is a good idea imho, too... I have seen two label drilled EU's here and they go very long and then turn hard but on broken down or flooded lanes these balls tend to go over/under...

About that XXXL... MINE IS DRILLED LABEL! and has enough lenght to cover the tenpin but is strong enough to even be played on a MED THS cause this ball will work as soon as it sees something dry... so sometimes label drilling isn't that bad

Dirty Bomb... I have been adviced to have it drilled stacked (I had to sell it before it got drilled and never got to use it as I needed the money) This ball doesn't like squirty backends... but I can't give further advice...

So... my only advice I can give is about the XXXL and I like my Label drilling. I have seen a stacked drilling here and the ball is strong... strong enough to be compared to any weak or lowbudget reactive ball out there.

Other's advice is to have it drilled like in the Vid... well... take a look at the VID:

Hard choices to make  pal... what does your driller advice you?

You just got caught in your lie. Until you provide the website you found the ball, then you lose the argument. Nothing else you say until you provide the website is relevant.

are you planning to cover the gamet with these balls?  if so

g force, assuming original, pin under ring, cg out 1" wieght hole on val down 2" if required, this will give you a good midlane read in the oil and aggressive flare
EU again I would go probably pin under bridge, cg out slightly, almost stacked, the pin under gives you the great midlane read (med to med heavy type shot)

cherry bomb pearl, nothing wrong with label if you got the hand for it, the agressive reactive  stock will give you a great read, label may not give you all the length you need

The above three balls are all pretty agressive, you may look at a pearl cobalt or g force evolution for the next slot down (probably would nix the EU or the cherry bomb pearl personally

evo go pin above bridge cg out slightly, balance hole on grip center line between pap and grip center (this will tame the ball down and allow you to play med dry to med shot, or you could go with an agressively drilled hrg in this slot

plastic a standard label drill will give you all you need

dont mind the mindless banter above, eventually we will all be on the same page

I would stack the Bomb cores roughly 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 and CG out the EU with the pin just under or just over the ring finger.

The XXXL, I would drill strong, maybe label 1:30 with a shorter pin, with 1/2 side and 1/2 finger or a higher pin stack 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 with a longer pin, again leaving 1/2 side weight in the ball. =:^D
