Hybrid Dirty Bomb Pearl????
« on: April 29, 2006, 01:22:58 AM »
I just picked up a Hybrid Dirty Bomb. It's going to be for my wife, or my daughter, I'm not sure who yet. I know what drilling to use if it's for my daughter. Here's the question:

If I drill this up for my wife, what type of drilling would work best for a "suitcase" type release? Not alot of hand or speed. It would be on a THS also. Any help would be great! Thanks!

CG out Lev. pin under ring and cg kicked out a bit, talk to your driller too, he might have some other suggestions.

Pin axis drilling is very tame, or pin above the bridge, cg in palm area, under the ring.

not a lot of hand, stick with label drill.

pin besides the ring finger and CG stacked or in palm or out depending on top weight.

The Hybrid Dirty Bomb is a very tame ball to start with. There is no chance you'll have any snappiness out of this ball unless you throw like Robert Smith and have it maxxed out and gloss polished.

The guy that owns our lanes suitcases it as well. Here's what I'd do:

Use the box finish and drill pin over the ring finger and stack the cg under.

This is a great drilling for your type of bowler...gets length but still has drive.

Drop me an email if you need any more info.

So pin over ring will give more backend on the ball. I figured that would be a good option. She doesn't use grips either, just a conventional fingers.

I had someone recomend a Rico drilling on it. Any thoughts on that? Thanks for the replies guys.
