Looking for a certain reaction
« on: January 22, 2010, 11:03:32 PM »
I have a lane #1 Bullet, actually I have 2 of them--the Only Lane #1 balls I have thrown--. I have to thank Charlest(Geoff) for providing me with my first one, and brought a 2nd used one fairly recently also a copuple months or so ago. The first one was drilled somewhat mildly and mever found a niche in my bag for league, but did well in a recent tournament, but the 2nd one I picked up had a 1 inch pin, so I put a 315 degree drilling on it, and that one is better suited for my league shot which is drier than ever with clean backends, the first one was a bit too mild even for my league shot.

This ball sees a bit of action in my tuesday nite league out of necessity because it "fits" the condition, but the ball itself is not the best fit for me. I have had a couple of decent games with it when it has been needed, but since I have gotten the bullet, my impression was that If I could find another reactive or particle ball, for the hitting power mainly(--I do have a visionary slate blue gargoyle, and an infra-red amulet--in the urethane and plastic dept. with a modern core) with a similar mild cover, but with a bit more agressive or higher differential core, that such a ball would be a better fit for my game than the bullet. Currently there is a used XL available on ebay in my weight, would that ball be what I am looking for?  Or would something else better fit what I am currently looking for?

Any input is appreciated,

Brad

You might check Lane #1's Liberator, or Storm's Natural. Both should offer a bit more traction and core power than the Bullet.
