Buzzbomb layout for long pattern
« on: February 18, 2008, 05:58:16 AM »
Hi,

I have a new Buzzbomb (15#, Pin to CG 2", I request 3" but I received 2") and I would like to know how to drill it for long patterns (Shark and Scorpion).  I would like a layout that allow me play second arrow straight down.

Actually I am playing, second arrow straight down, the Viper pattern with a Legend Black Pearl (15#, pin 1.5" above the RF and CG stacked below, the Pin to CG is 3 3/8") and the ball is sweet.

Without actually seeing you throw the ball I'd suggest pin under ring with cg kicked out slightly....should end up something like a 5x4

The ball will roll nice and even without overreacting on the backend.

Good luck and let us know what you think!!!!

Hey LH20, I have mine drilled 4X4 and I don't care for it too much...I'm probably going to move the thumb and kick the cg out a little...just my opinion

just didn't get the reaction I expected from the BB...was hoping it would move 4-5 boards more than my NVS...and right now my NVS is outhooking and performing much better than my BB...not sure if it's the ball not matching the lane condition or bowler error but I definitely need to try something else...right now I have it drilled pin below ring, cg directly under...going to move the thumb about an inch and a half to 2 inches to the left to swing the cg out and see if that makes a difference...
