Hybrid Dirty Bomb
« on: November 10, 2005, 06:19:50 AM »
Just curious how many "versions" of this ball are floating around. Mine is a purple color with a sheen finish (between dull and polished). I have heard of people getting different OOB finishes, and I just realized mine looks absolutely nothing like the ones shown on the L1 website. They all loook like blue/black swirl. Any feedback?

Why is there a variation to begin with. I may be wrong here, but don't most companies covers on their balls match regardless of whether it is the first ball made or the 1000th ball made?

Hey, I am intending on buying another Lane 1 ball and this variation of color, polish, sanding grit, etc, all in one line disturbs me a bit. Can anyone explain the variations?

triggerman, doesn't Lane 1 have any specs/rules/etc.  at all for Brunswick to follow? I mean, if a person had someone build a house for them and they didn't build it right, would they still buy it? I know I wouldn't. Maybe I am wrong, but to me this is not good if Brunswick is going to make balls all in the same line such as the HDB, different from one ball to the next. As bad as I want to try another Lane 1 ball, I'm beginning to have second thoughts about buying another Lane 1 ball.

Triggerman, Didn't they switch from trizact to ruff-buff & brunswick high gloss, or did they change something more than that?
