I have started this over at bbe also. here is the link with a picture of the layout now:

How should I redrill it to make it go longer and save more for the backend?

If you look really close to the left of the Diamond, you can see the punch mark for the cg. If it was drilled back on the original one, that would be a label leverage for me. I am going to go with Trigs suggestion for the layout.
