Massacre/Dynamo, Best lane 1 combo ever?
« on: May 04, 2009, 12:36:41 AM »
So this weekend was last weekend of the indiana state bowling tourney.  We always go the last weekend cause its nice out and if we want we can go play a round of golf when done, rather then hanging out in the hotel all afternoon

this year we bowled well, not great but well
I started team off with the dynamo, 3 spares to start, sheet 9 count for 245
comeback next game 257, last game 236, clean set 738 moved feet after the 3 spares to start the game, never moved again, dynamo, held its own very very well we shot almost 3300 as a team, moved into top 30 so we were happy

on sunday we changed houses had the end pair, fished and fished during practice, never did see anything I liked, but did decide on giving the Massacre a ride, 247-241-217 707 another clean set decent showing in singles, might cash lol
stay on pair for doubles, really looking ofr a shot shoot 165 game with my first opens of the weekend, this game was the Massacre and the original chainsaw, didnt like the carry, movement was good but carry was rough (if was for everyone that 4th game) lanes were toasted up pretty well, but I went back to the Dynamo moved way left, played 4th arrow, go 259-209 to finish the set up, shot 2076 AE scratch, which is fantastic for me

all i will say is between those two balls I covered the lanes very well, the massacre is huge on the backend, great length and great move, the dyanmo is smooth and purely devasting in the hole, as all around me struggled with some carry and carry down, i felt like i had a brand new oiled lane in front of me  I am one of those guys that is just as comfortable on a used up lane going with a strong ball in deep, might as well use the bounce the other guys set up for ya

best one-two punch i have seen in a long long time i can start with either and finish with either

First of all Great shooting!!!  Just finished my 2nd complete season of bowling and just added this dimension to my game, and like you said it's like it's fresh oil playing 4th arrow, while everyone's fighting over 2nd arrow, lol!

Trigger, good bowling. I keep thinking about the Dynamo and the Massacare, but having just moved to a new home, things are a bit tight at the moment for me to buy anything.

Great bowling, sounds like quite the 1-2 punch.

I tried a Dynamo for the first time tonight, on THS with medium oil.  By comparison, I was using my Storm T-Road Pearl before I made the switch.

All I can say is wow on this ball.  I was surprised at how much length I got, even on the outside where it was dry.  But the biggest thing about this ball was the pin carry, even when I missed the pocket.  I've watched my friend bowl with his Supernova and Bullet and am consistently amazed at how many Brooklyn and headpin strikes he get.  I pulled a few out with this ball tonight, and it almost makes me feel like Lane #1 is cheating.

Not sure about the drilling -- this ball belongs to my pro shop -- but it was pin over ring finger and there was a splash of polish on the ball.  This probably accounts for the extra length.

I am by no means a Lane #1 fanatic, but I am rethinking my arsenal now.  I have an AO being drilled as we speak, and I'm wondering if I should swap out my Columbia 300 Rival with the Dynamo and pick up a Massacre to replace my T-Road Pearl.  Add my Bullet to the mix and that seems like a pretty bad set-up, no?

Curious what people think.  Especially where the AO would fit in this mix, as I asked them to take it up to 2000 abralon seeing as I never really see a lot of oil.

Thanks

I'd vote for Cobalt Pearl/Cobalt Solid
