i went to my local funhouse last night to do some pot-bowling. i brought along an assortment of balls, since the lanes are heavily played on during Open session.

my first game was a less-than-stellar 184,  using 3 different balls (nugget, then barbed wire, then power groove) by the tenth, trying to find something. 3 opens on 2 splits/washout. GOOD SIDE: i picked up a greek church, haven't done that in about half a year! wish i DIDNT have to pick it up.

second game i fell apart. the ball that shaped up for me (proactive power groove) was hanging on my ring finger, and i popped a Ditch Ball after starting with a 2 bagger, then went heavy into the headpin leaving the 6-10. so instead of a nice ~80 count for 3 frames, i had 46. switch to an ultimate inferno, didnt like the hit, left 3 weak 7s and finally hit high enough to leave me a 4-6-10. i had 88 in the 7th (OUCH.), was down $50 after 2 games and couldn't hit the pocket square enough to do jack nuthin'. so in frame 8 i retrieved the Golden Nugget again since the lane was starting to break down. spare, and struck out for 168. the look was there.

game 3 i went front 5, spare, strike, spare, 2-bagger, spare, 248. i collected the pot i just won, all my side bets and dammit, no one wanted to side-bet on game 4. i got some weird looks due to my sudden 80 pin jump, but i really was having trouble in game 2.

game 4 i missed cashing by 7 pins, striking out the 10th for 221 and losing to a 228. he went 2-bagger and 9 in the 10th. rats, lol. i left $30 richer and my little Nugget just paid for itself.
