The 2004-2005 PBA Regional season has begun. I bowled yesterday in Rockaway,NJ. Pattern "D" on HPL Plastics. I drilled the 2 new Uraniums that Richie sent me before I went. I had (4) Uraniums with me. 2 with pin below fingers and 2 with pin above the fingers. Each layout has a CG kicked with x-hole and same pin placements without x-hole. I was able to throw justt he Uranium for the entire 8 game block. I had a tremendous look early on as I opened with 242. Had some carry issues the next 2 games just as everyone did. Shot 212,204 games 2,3. I was using a Pin above fingers 5.5" away from PAP with a low CG and low hole. Changed balls to a pin above 5.5" from PAP with no CG kick.(No Hole) and the shape changed enough that game to knock them down for me. Shot 244 in game 4. In game 5 and six they really started to change and I was looping the whole lane. Of course I lost carry again. I was able to get to +115 after 6 only to run into complete mental disaster. After not missing one spare the first 6 games and only having 2 splits. I decided to bowl like an idiot. Made some bad moves and missed 2 spares for 180's and the missed 3 spares the last game for 167 to end my block at +62. It was good enough for a check but I really should have made the finals. Haven't been bowling alot o fpractice lately so my spare game sucks. Will be working on that this week. Once again the URANIUM was my ball of choice for the whole block. I will be drilling up my ORIGINAL Purple Buzzsaw this week to combat the extreme burn that takes place late in the 8 game blocks.
