Medium to Heavy Oil Ball
« on: August 16, 2004, 07:34:49 PM »
Which will be a better ball of these two, the Black Cherry
Bomb or the new Uranium Solid, for medium to heavy oil condition,
on synthetic lanes?
I have the Black Cherry Bomb drilled stacked and it's dulled.
This ball has a tendency of sliding down the lane when there
is a carrydown. I am considering the
new Uranium Solid for the condition mentioned. Please advise.

try the super carbide bomb for oil,and i think the solid uranium should also be great, although i have not tried that ball yet.
for me the carbide bomb is better than the black cherry,as i have alot of ball speed. good luck

I would agree on the Super Carbide Bomb as long as there is enough head oil left. If the fronts are going to be choppy....I would go with a Solid Uranium...Make sure your shop operator matches your style with the correct layouts...That really helps.......The "NEW" Solid Uranium coverstock is the best on the market!!! Most versatile to date....Thanks  beans

In most houses that I bowl, I rarely see truly heavy oil.
The extreme case will somewhere near medium heavy.
I doubt that I might be able to use the Super Carbide
Bomb effectively. I have used the dulled Black Cherry
for this condition, and it works nicely before carrydown
starts to happen. The new Uranium Solid
has the same coverstock and surface as the Ultimate Inferno
(correct me if I'm wrong). I have heard that this ball
(Ultimate Inferno) is able to handle carrydown quite well,
so it might be the same for the Uranium Solid.
(Please correct me if I'm wrong again). Asking your opinion, which
ball will be better, the Black Cherry Bomb or the new Uranium Solid
for the condition mentioned.
