Enriched Uranium Specs? Anyone?
« on: December 08, 2005, 12:25:37 PM »
Are the RG and Diff of this ball going to be the same as the Solid and the Pearl?  Have not seen the specs on the ball posted yet.

I believe they will be the same. It is the same core, just different coverstock.

That is NOT a problem with the ball, thats a problem with the drilling of the ball and how the person tracks thats using the ball..

Here's a few tidbits I've dug up.

On www.buddiesproshop.com, they have a some figures up that must have come from Lane #1.  It says that (on the Lane #1 scale) the EU has a total hook of 110, 70% of it on the backend, and 5+ inches of flare potential.  For comparison, Lane #1 lists the Uranium Solid numbers as 100, 60, and 5+; and the Uranium Pearl as 85, 75, and 5.

So, by those figures, the EU will have the most total hook of the bunch, with a snappier backend than the solid, but not as sharp as the pearl.

We shall see.

I called my pro shop today, and he in turn called Lane #1 to see if the EUs are indeed shipping today.  Today is considered to be the official release date, but the balls have not arrived in NY from Brunswick yet.  They will be shipped as soon after they arrive in NY as possible.

Shiv: I ordered mine a week ago, and Lane#1 said it would be shipped today (12/19).

Steven--

Do you mean today as in the date of your post (12/12), or the date you mentioned (12/19)?

I called my pro shop to ask about the Enriched Uraniums a couple of weeks ago, and I caught them by surprise...they hadn't heard of it yet.  They placed a call to Lane #1, and were told 12/12 was the release date.  I called again yesterday to make sure the shop was on the case, and they called Lane #1 again and got the info I quoted above.

I was hoping to get one this week.  Both of my leagues are taking a 2 week hiatus for the holidays, and if I don't get the ball by Friday, it'll be awhile before I can use it.  Friday looks pretty unlikely at this point, but the pro shop said he gets Lane #1 shipments 2 days after they are shipped from NY, so it's not mathematically impossible yet.

Actually there was a few problems with this particular ball,  we drilled one locally for a guy normaal bowler, normal track normal drill even had a safe pin above dirll and the ball flared backwards . Something was wrong with it,  Richie told us to send it back I assume my proshop guy did I didn't catch the end of the story.  Otherwise yes I would agree it the bowler not the ball as I track pretty high myself.

Opps, my bad. I meant 12/12.

I'm on the west coast, so I don't expect to see the ball until early in the week of 12/19. I love my two existing Uraniums, so I'm expecting the Enriched to be another winner.
