Box finish on an Emerald saw
« on: July 14, 2004, 08:33:28 AM »
Can anyone tell me the grit of an Emerald from the factory?
In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm, and three or more is a congress.

Mr. Buzzsaw UK says all Brunswick made balls (they also make the Buzzsaws) that are Pearlized, are sanded to 400 grit and polished with Brunswick Factory Polish. That polish is a little too much for my style, so I have been successful sanding to 400 grit and using Storm Step 2 Polish, which is 320 - 1500 grit Polish. However if you polish hard (burn it in), you can get a shine around 200-2500 with the Storm Step 2 Polish.
