Does anyone have the information regarding what the original surface was on the Comet Pro?  All I can find is "Polished."

If I remember correctly, it was one of the original Rhino Pro resin coverstocks.  Of course, it anyone has one in 14# or 15# they are willing to unload, I would love to be first in line.

You can call me crazy.  But I believe most, but not all, of the bowling balls from the 90s into early 2000 were 600 grit with or without polish.  The abralons did not come out until about 2 years ago and I was never able to find sandpaper more than 1000 grit.  That is why Squeeky Clean was so popular in the 90s.  They had different levels depending on how long you wanted the ball to go down the lane.

Thanks guys, I had one given to me by my brother and it had been through the "wars" and I resurfaced it.  I brought it back to 400 grit then used Brunswick's Factory Finish High Gloss.  With the exception of a few deeper whacks, it looks new.  It reacted like I remember my old one reacting.
