I you were going to purchase one Lane 1 ball which one
would you purchase? The most versatile ball, one that
will react the most favorably on the most conditions.

I agree with Ringer.  The Blueberry is definitely the most versatile.  I haven't seen the new Cranberry, which is the same coverstock with a different mini-diamond placement in the core, but I bet it's equally as versatile with probably more back-end.

Personally, I'm hoping for a Purple Pro re-make, or at least something with the same coverstock.  That ball was tremendous as an all-around ball also.

You just can't go wrong with Lane#1!!!!!

BadShot, Doug Sterner has a used Pro Purple he might let go of if you are interested in a used one.

With the Pro Purple (love that ball!) & Blueberry (love that core) no longer available, I'd have to say the Cranberry is now probably the most versatile ball in the Lane#1 line-up.

Charlest, the Blueberry and Emerald cores fit my game perfectly. I haven't tried the others yet to see if they will work for me or not. I want to get a BCB in the near future, so quess I will find about that core then.

Brick,

I'll be very curious about that.
I think most people who loved the Lane#1 balls (myself included) had the positive experience with the *very* symmetric C (Pro Purple - single large diamond) and C2 (Raspberry/Emerald - double diamond within a large diamond) cores.

I think there is something in the physics, the gyro-scopic dynamics of these diamond cores that may, sometime in the future, be proven to be good for everyone, the way the Quantum mushroom cores worked for both high rev release and lower rev releases.

I wonder about the Cherry Bomb and the Carbide Bomb cores which have much less of that 3 axis symmetry to them. They have sort of mutant or modified diamond cores, which are just very large, asymmetrical core with super large flaring. I am inclined (not totally convinced) to believe that many lower rev people like yourself will like these types of strong balls, just like you would like any  very high flaring cored ball, because it gives you added hook and power (like you loved, got good results from the V2 sanded & pearl.
