Hey Billy...

Any input you can give me on the recent Lane #1 cg testing?

Richie is causing a little bit of a stink on the forums.

I can confirm that Richie was at the brunswick plant for a tour about a month ago, whether he did the test in up in the air. He throwing his theories to my pro shop owner who is customer of his that the static means alot because they do on a car tire. My pro shop guy laughed at him and told him what bowler produces 1000 plus rpm's and the motion of tire going down the road, well richie did not like the answer and stormed off. Rumor is the patent is up in 2 years and he is selling out anyway, he wants to pursue his music career and retire from the sale of the company.

Billy Orlikowski...Guy that works at Brinswick.

Wow this is news !

An honest question...Why would the owner of Lane #1 bite the hand that feeds them ?

Dissing the company that makes your balls for you is pretty far out there...

Oh come ON!  I have stayed out of this sh*tstorm up to this point because it is laughable in my opinion.

I find it hard to believe that the owner of a major bowling ball company would stick his neck out in a public forum unless he really believed in what he was trying to say.  I cannot speak to the validity of any claims made on either side because I am not a technical whiz when it comes to ball reaction.  I just know what I see for myself.

But PLEASE!  Now people are getting on here trying to imply that the test was never even conducted?!  Could someone please explain in a rational way how this makes ANY sense at all?  Is that to imply that Richie is trying to brainwash everyone?  Gimme a break.

Some might call Richie a visionary and a genius, others might call him a kook.  I call him a damn good businessman with the stones to compete with the big boys in a competitive industry, and the business sense to treat his customers with top notch customer service.  Tough to argue with the quality of the product that comes outta Lane #1.

I take offense that rumors are being cited and ideas are being implied that have no purpose but to try to tarnish a well-earned positive reputation.  Don't give me rumors, or anecdotal evidence, give me something a little more concrete, please.  I'll be the first to request that this topic be deleted or locked.  Shameful that it would come from a well respected member here like you, Nick.

Nick, keep up the good work. You have suceeded in sending at least one loyal Brunswick fan to Lane 1. If this is the kind of BS that Brunswick supports, I am done with the company.

Call me crazy but aren't you still supporting the Big B when you buy a Lane#1 ball?  Maybe I'm wrong but I thought that Brunswick manufactures Lane#1 and they also use their coverstock technologies (maybe they tweak the formula a bit on some balls but for the most part).

How am I tarnishing anyones' reputation?

All I am saying is that I question that Mr. Buzzsaw is really Richie. He claims that he recently did tests with Billy, so instead of getting involved in the now 8-page drama, I asked Billy his insight to the matter. His response was that he didn't know a thing about it. That leads me to believe that Mr Buzzsaw is not who he says he is...

So ttforshort, if it is BS to question the validity of a poster, then you're way out of line and so is your tantrum.
