Neutral X-Hole?
« on: August 04, 2005, 01:54:12 AM »
i just got my uranium and H2O drilled up, and im going to pick them up friday at 4, but in speaking with my driller on the phone he mentioned that he needed to put an x-hole in the H2O to get the specs legal.

i asked the question, is it a flare increasing or decreasing x-hole?
he said it was neither, it was in a neutral position.

i didnt think there was a neutral position for x-hole, just flare decreasing or increasing positions.

he's the man when it comes to drilling, but i cant say ive ever heard of a neutral x-hole.

where would this hole be located in respect to the pin and PAP?

thanks!

I would imagine that the amount of increase or decrease is dependent on where the hole is.  Start from where the flare-increasing hole goes and move towards the flare-decreasing hole.  You'll probably find a spot in between them that gives little or no change in flare.

I think someone said that putting the hole on your PAP would alter the reaction the least compared to not having the hole.  Perhaps that's what your driller did.

shallow hole on your pap is very neutral.
