Title: New ball (Teal Retro THS)
Post by: novawagonmaster on March 31, 2008, 03:44:34 AM
Where did drillwizzard's post go that was discussing the new Teal Retro THS ball (the one with the original diamond core and a BASF coverstock for $167 shipped)?

How strong is this coverstock supposed to be?
Where is it supposed to fit in the line-up?

Since (I would assume) this will be a 900G coverstock, I would expect it to behave at least a little differently than the Teal of yesteryear.

On the info sheet in the auction it says Solid Bleeder. Isn't that the coverstock from the original G-force? Then it would be a Superflex or a derivative of it. Would be a very nice ball in my opinion.

original g force has detonator (M80 variation) the evo and nebula had a pearl version of bleeder, with the nebula being particle pearl, this is a solid version, the original supernova had a particle solid version of bleeder

so longer ten supernova, not quite as long as the evo, but a nice decent length with I would assume an arcy type shape based upon the older diamond cores, sounds like a great combo for the majority of house shots.  dull it and handle some oil, polish and watch it turn hard  hummmm, sounds like a real winner to me.  cant wait to see one in action

Well, i haven't been able to say anything until now. Richie sent me one of the test balls because i was having trouble with the Buzzbomb and he wanted to know how the Teal Retro THS would react on my condition.  Man, Triggerman is right on, fits right between supernova and the evolution.  I dare say the carry of this ball is next to none.  First game with Retro 278! if i pulled it held if i pushed it came back.  Not one 10 pen Next two games 266, 289. My FIRST 800 series !!!!  Then i decided to throw it left handed and carried the front 6 and a 230 game the ball is unbelievable!!!!! Happy April Fools day, lol!

lol, I had an original teal and if this ball is anything like the original it will be a winner on league oil, smooth off the break but still hard charging on the back end

and for you april fools day perfectionists, try this out

With the great covers 900 Global are producing, I don't think the thought of going back to Brunswick would ever be funny.

The ad said "superflex solid bleeder", so that leads me to 900g which is using a derivative of the old columbias superflex coverstocks.
