Mine is laid out exactly like that with the pin in the 2 o'clock position to the ring finger.  It is tremendous for all spares, and when needed, kills the strike shot on dry without overeacting.  I get almost 6" ol flare on it, yet it goes straight when thrown flat.

I bought one last week and drilled it this week. (my first Lane 1 ball since I sold all of my old ones 3 years ago) Ball has a 2 3/4" Pin and I drilled it Pin under RF and CG kicked out just enough so that it didn't need a balance hole.
Works perfect for the 6 & 10 pins. Haven't tried it on dry lanes yet, but I know from the one I had 3 years ago that it will perform on dry lanes also.

I drilled mine Label 1:30. I use it for all spares except bucket and double wood. I have yet to run into a condition dry enough to use it as a strike ball. It got close in one tourney, but I was able to use the Bullet effectively. XXXL would have been the choice if we bowled a few more games. The 1:30 drill gives me plenty of flare. On most conditions, it does not move more than a few boards. On short oil with flying backends, I have noticed a little more movement. For spares, I keep my speed up, so it is not really an issue.
