Super Carbide Bomb
« on: December 18, 2007, 01:34:25 AM »
In the event that my SCB gets stolen, eaten up by a ball return or otherwise rendered un-useable............what current Lane #1 ball replaced my beloved SCB???

In defense of my Lane #1 ignorance, I know that I am not very knowledgable of the different Lane #1 balls. I will say this, even though I only get to use my SCB 3 or 4 times an entire season......I am very glad that I have it in my bag. This baby will move when no other even sniffs turning the corner.

There's either a SCB or a Super Carbide where I bowl Thursday.  He only sells "with the drilling" price and isn't cheap, but if you want, I can check it out.  It was around $200-220, so if that's too steep...  They also still had what appears to be a very dark, almost black Blueberry for around the same price.  I don't know the direct # to the pro shop, but the center's number is (336) 292-0181 if anyone wants to call to find the details.

Super Carbide Bomb is the only Lane 1 Ball I ever have, and most likely will ever drill up.  I loved that ball!  Mine was stolen, so becareful.  Luckily I recouped all the money I had in it the first 2 weeks of having the ball.  It is a great piece, and oddly even though it was so strong, the only ball at the time I could throw dull.

did I mention I have no money and no use for such a ball right now?

Still I wanted one polished... dull does not matter... but right now I cannot afford it.

I will never get rid of mine, as there is nothing (to date that is) that will replace its ability to handle a flood.  I am sure there is something in the works that will replace it in the future, since it is a discontinued piece.
