Maxxx Curve polished
« on: October 10, 2011, 02:43:56 AM »
against my better judgement on a toasted up lane with a lot of open play I decided to go ahead and polish this ball up, let me first say that on the spotty lane this ball was absolutely way too strong, started rolling at 25 feet and just burnt out, threw some other stuff just to make sure it was the lanes and not the ball, and every thing did the same roll out burn up routine, so I took it over to our polishing machine (which I will say has a fantastic block of polish in it, no wax in this baby) and left the 500 saair surface underneth, liked the look after polishing, back to the lane and really started to see some length and energy retention, shot 232-221 on really crappy lanes I think i will like this ball polished nice strong move and great hit, much stronger then the original curve, next step will be to change the underlying grit and polish again, want this to compliment my carnage and I think that is exactly what I will get out of it

I was reluctant to polish as on the fresh house shot I got a great look, 685 oob when most struggled, I liked the roll and the hit is exceptional, carries light hits like crazy.  couldnt get to dry too early in OOb as it was def too strong, but hold the oil line and it was money, hoping that this little polish I applied will give me that abiltiy to get it out to the dry just a tick sooner, will know more this week, thus far after about 15 games i really like what I am seeing out of this strong pearl

went a step further last night on the surface changes of this ball

took the underlying grit from 500 saair to 2k abralon then went a couple of rounds thru our polisher, ball is drop dead sexy polished like this, got some more length and more retention on the backside, ball still loves the oil line and is very agressive off dry, has that look of a particle pearl on the lane, especially when you get to the dry too early, but all in all I like the look of this with the updated surface changes, will get a chance to throw on some fresh come thursday and all in all looks to be a great compliment to the Carnage, super 1-2 punch
