New Lane#1 Balls
« on: June 11, 2003, 10:33:04 AM »
Does anyone know what Lane#1 is going to release next?  The Cherry Bomb core with a solid reactive coverstock or light load particle coverstock would be a welcome addition.
You will not see me on the PBA Tour, but I love the game!!!

I've seen references to a new "line" coming out in August.  I have talked to a Lane1 rep and he told me that they were releasing a urethane ball (don't know if it's solid or pearl) and that Lane1 was testing a couple of different versions with different cores.  I'm also hoping that the new line will include a particle pearl, a solid medium load particle and a weaker resin.  Take care....JS

With the success of the Bomb core.....wouldn't it make sense to build an arsenal around that core with different covers ???

Let's see......

Super Carbide Bomb.....
Blueberry Bomb
Cherry Bomb
Emerald Bomb
XXXL Bomb

Then do another line with one their other most popular cores.....

just my .0005 cents worth

Shaggy,

All I've heard about is the urethane that is being tested.  They were looking at the super bomb core and a solid diamond, such as the XL.  I think they are leaning towards the single diamond core as that would be more controllable where the super bomb core might be too strong for the coverstock, IMO.  I'm hoping we start hearing about these new balls around mid-July and can start ordering by early August!  Take care....JS
