Amen to that. I wish Lane 1 would reproduce the Solid Cobalt Bomb again with the EXACT same coverstack it had, but I know that would be impossible because that was a Brunswick coverstock.

I think it's hilarious, but not in the way they probably intended it to be. Google "unintentional comedy."
I've yet to figure out two things in this sport -- well, actually more than that, but two things stand out: (1) Why anyone bashes any ball company for marketing, since they're all guilty of it (Ebonite being the chief violator), and (2) why Lane #1 gets hammered at such a disproportionate rate.
I'll give you my story about dealing with Lane #1: I met Richie in North Carolina at The Gathering in 2006. At that time I didn't have a Lane #1 ball in my bag and hadn't for around two years. The one I had was a Gold Nugget that I hated.
So I wait my turn to ask him a question after everyone else gets done, and when he turns to me, I ask him, "Not bashing your stuff, but can you tell me why I used to have a Cherry C/2 that I loved, but every Lane #1 ball I've thrown since then, I hated? Particularly a Gold Nugget?"
He could have as easily punched me in the face as answered the question, I'm sure, but he took the time to go through a list of things (no, CG wasn't one of them) that could have been an issue for me and the ball, and didn't blame me for being the problem (which it probably was). I didn't buy a Lane #1 ball for a year afterwards but I did come out of it with a good opinion of him. He shot straight in response to a non-flattering question from Joe Blow that he didn't know.
Then I bought a Lane #1 ball the following year (another Gold Nugget, used) followed by a new one (Tsunami) and I'm more consistent now than I've ever been in my life.
I've also drilled balls from every company now except 900Global for myself and others. My opinion is that people need to get off the "your brand sucks" train because it doesn't go anywhere.

Nor have Richie and I ever discussed it. I just posted a few ideas on the Lane#1 website like everyone else.
Right now I am the National Sales Booth Manager and Ballreview day coordinator. I certainly hope to move up in the Lane#1 company so we will see what the future has to offer. 1 thing for sure is that Lane#1 is growing and the end is far from near as to how far the company can move forward..
I am happy to be a part of it..

You're an alright guy in my book, but this feud you have with lane1 is starting to get a little anal, even to me.
I too had the Agent Orange bring up visions of the Inferno, although I missed the buzzbomb/r-smashzone thing. Problem is, there are only so many attractive color combos to go around. Maybe they have/had an agenda with the coloring thing, maybe not.
You know what you know, and, you seem pretty good at it. They seem to be self satisfied that, they too, have a good grasp of things and are happy with the way things are for them.
Stop paying so much attention to what THEY are doing and get back to doing what YOU do very well, and that is promoting Brunswick stuff. Let them be Lane1, because that is what they get to do, and you be Brunswick because that is what you do.
Hell, let Storm argue with them over that "AGENT" thing. THAT seems more plausible than a color infringement.

As far as the Original Inferno goes, the Agent Orange looks nothing like it. The Inferno was a mix of colors, blended together nicely. The Agent Orange is only Orange and Black pearl with big blotches of each. =:^D
