I'd like to congratulate a friend and customer of mine on this great accomplishment.

Lou Bailoni Jr took the All Events lead at the 2009 Pennsylvania State USBC Championships last weekend with a huge score of 2353

Singles - 721
Doubles - 818
Team - 814

I have been drilling balls for Lou for over 10 years and I am very proud of his accomplishment..

He was throwing the Lane#1 Blueberry/C2 Buzzsaw for every shot!!!

Awesome bowling.....

JustRico,

I am surprised at your comments...It's good to see that you have stooped so low as to post these types of comments. You were one of the few people left here that I respected but like I have always learned. A persons true colors will eventually come through.

This post was pointed at the people that do not believe that Lane#1 can perform..

Why is it OK for everyone to think Roto Grip is the best product out right now because Wes Malott dominated this year???

Just once I would love to see Barnes,Malott and WRW use Lane#1 for a whole season and then we would see how many titles would be won...My guess is they would win the same amount..

Look at the Faball products that were sub par that WRW won titles with...

With unprofessional comments like this Ric....I can see why Brunswick let you go!!!!

Im a little confused on this one, what did JustRico say to warrant that post?  he started his post off saying, THIS IS JUST A JOKE AND NOTHING ELSE. Meaning "what i am about to say is a joke"...he finished by saying "It is GREAT shooting no matter what he had in his hands and I talked to a few guys that bowled it."

As I re-read Ric's comment I agree I totally took his post out of context..

My appologies to Ric and I am glad I misread it because I truly do respect Ric Hamlin and his knowledge..

As you re-read, it was in gest, nothing more nothing less. I applaud anyone that puts up these numbers. As anyone that knew me as a Brunswick rep, I worked with multiple players, that were on competing manufacturers staff. I try (tried) to help the bowler, not the bowling ball.

As my old, wise boss once told me, we are not curing cancer, we are selling bowling balls. Too many get to wound up about it. And as an example look how many competing reps are friends...

Anyways, I wanted to have some fun with this and I apologize for taking away from Lou's accomplishment. As I said, I have a friend that bowled and shot 2100+, which is a great score.

Also, I was just giving an example of the possibilities of how many spares he could have shot. Not many!

On a final note, I remember not too long ago a person telling me about a senior (70+ yrs old) shooting in the low 70's in a golf tourney. Then clarified it by saying he played from the very front tees. My response...SO F***IN' WHAT. You play from the fronts and shoot that, if it's so easy....Give credit to the accomplishment.

Is that me or Beans? I know for the most part we are both extremely adored, but just curious which one you are referencing.

To clarify,

CRD is trying to take credit along with his buddy CGsSuk.  They're somehow referring to Steven, who has yet to post in this thread.  Or the recent "Lane #1 banned from PBA competition" thread where during the last 2 days, Steven had roughly 3 posts to their 22 combined (I didn't count, but it's probably pretty close).  Somehow, they insist that although they're doing all the barking, Steven is the one who bites.    I know they'll have fun with that one.    If you guys would at least argue his logic instead of just slamming his existence, maybe you'd get somewhere.

My thought would be to ALL the Sawheads or Buzzheads...how hard is it changing manufacturers? You've had Brunswick covers, Columbia and now Global. They have very distinct reaction charateristics differences. They cannot be easy going from one to another.

Just curious.

Quite.

The Brunswick covers, when coupled with the Diamond core, were midlane monsters and rolled heavy. Compared with the Brunswick balls of the time (because I owned both), I got better hold, typically, from Lane #1 gear. Any of the Brunswick-era balls that were supposed to be "angular" were pretty much junk in my hands.

It's completely opposite with Columbia/900G -- an oddity in itself, because I found the pre-buyout Columbia equipment to be more rolly than angular. But both the Columbia-poured G-Force Evolution and especially the 900G-poured Supernova XP are very angular balls. The XP, probably one of the four or five most angular balls I own.

On the other hand, the new covers make the balls move similarly to the Storm gear I have mostly put down. I came to Lane #1 because I needed controllability at the breakpoint and a better roll and hit through the pins. The post-Brunswick stuff hasn't been so great for me.

It's no accident my favorite 900G/Lane #1 ball is the BuzzBomb/R, which is such a heavy roller it may as well have "Made in 2001 by Brunswick" written on the side. The Evo, XP and Chainsaw all have good playability under certain conditions.

For that reason, I've picked up some other stuff recently (Brunswick Sidewinder, Roto-Grip Mystic, AMF The Heist) to try to get that roll look back. I'm testing a 900Global Break S75 this week. First ball out of the bag on most league nights is now that Mystic.

CRD, the way I see it, the only people steven rubs the wrong way are the ones who don't like Lane 1 or just want to bash everything Lane 1 does. They are the ones in the Lane 1 forum constantly stirring up trouble.

Steven is a Lane 1 supporter, so you could say this is his house/home. I'm sure you would get upset if someone was causing comotion in your house.

Back to the topic, congrats to Lou for his huge all events score. =:^D

Strider,
Don't quite understand where you are coming from.  First you misread a post of mine, I pointed out that it wasn't about you at all, and that was that.  While you might not agree with it, there are a lot of people on ballreviews.com that have made it pretty clear that steven rubs them the wrong way.  Whether due to pride, stubborness, or ignorance he doesn't want to believe it.  Perhaps if he sees enough people agreeing that his views of other people and how he relates to them needs, shall we say, work maybe he will take the hint and clean up his act. Even a little bit would be welcomed.

For a good time dial 1-900-KOOLAID.  Ask for Steven.

First, I admitted I read your post wrong.  Second, you mis read my post in the same thread first and never admitted such.  There are 3-4 people that seem to have a beef with Steven.  You, CGsSuk, OhCanada, and one or two far less vocal posters.  Your week long grind fest is REALLY getting old.  Get over it.  Post after post after post about how you don't like Steven is ridiculous.  I'm not going to count, but will if necessary (not that you or CGsSuk ever believe what anyone else writes), but I will pretty much guarantee that the post count for you and CGsSuk during the last few days outnumbers Steven's 10 to 1.  I'll at least give CGsSuk some credit.  He at least uses the forum for other purposes.  When is the last time you, OhCanada, or Harry Ballsagna? had a post that wasn't complaining about something?

I would suggest you broaden your scope to other forums then, Strider.  If you would, you wouldn't make a broad statement like that.  If you still feel the same way, I suggest you utilize the ignore list. No skin off my back. I'll leave it at that.

Well I bowled twice...Just finished my 2 nd round of AE today...

Shot 687,657,668 today..

Although they are not very tough, they are not very easy.

I am just amazed there were (2) 2300+ scores this year...

Makes me realize how huge a score that really was...
