I wonder what a ball with the core they have in the Super Carbide Bomb would be like if it had a coverstock of the Scorchin' Inferno. I've heard of $1,000 hookers, but...

I think it will be something with the newer coverstock, But it is going to be similar to a ball on the "Retired" list

C/2 core--now that's what I'm talkin' about! Maybe with the cover that's on the Impulse Zone? That ball would be similar to the old Pearl Carbide. Though, I wouldn't call that cover a heavy oil cover.

Back with the C/2--it's only a matter of time before the Teaberry, or Elderberry, or Boysenberry is out with the Activator+.

That ball would actually be a black cherry bomb.  The scorchin is the exact same cover even down to the color as the black cherry bomb i would bet money on it.

Nope, heading in the wrong direction, It is going to be "similar" to one of the "Retired" balls, maybe a solid version of the Cobalt with the c/2 core??? Don't get me wrong i would LOVE to see a remake of the Pearl Cherry C/2 in another pearl form if not exactly.

The black cherry bomb is PK18 while the scorchin is activator maxx, right? Not the same by any means....

The black cherry bomb is not not Pk18 it was a solid version of brunswicks agressive reactive found of the raging red fuze, which in itself was a PK18 tweak of somekind.  Activator is also Pk18 based with some additives/tweaks.  Like I said I would bet on it I don't know for sure but think abbout it they can call it activator or activator+ or activator maxx thats just marketing its might be Pk18 it might be Pk19 it might be Pk based with additives we don't know just because the call it something doesn't mean its a brand new coverstock it just means they chose to market it as a brand new coverstock.  Don't belive everything you read.  You would be surprised also at how many so called reactive balls out there also have some particle load in them but since alot of people are turned off by particle they don't advertise it.

Jpr, you are correct, I think most all lane 1 balls and brunswick balls are a version of either Pk 17,18 or 19 with some changes in formulation or adding different particle loads or none at all, They could make suttle changes to the resin and call it a new coverstock, In theroy it is.

Just like the PBA "Elite" line of balls, Brunswick is mfg, These balls are not going to be much different then what they are doing now in there line and in lane 1's Just some diferent core and coverstock combos, Retro

If you look at a scorcchin inferno and a black cherry next to each other the oness I have seen are indentical red and black and even down to white phazing in the ball.  Now if you ask me for this last inferno ball brunswick said Hmm what cover do we know reacts good and they said to themsleve that cover we put on the black cherry bomb.  And bam they look the recipe up and keep everything the same even the color to inssure they get the same cover and they slap a brand new catchy name activator maxx to go along with their current line and bam they have a brand new ball.

There are different versions of resin, Urethane, Reactive and the Epoxy, I am quite sure there makeup are most of the same with some different additives, But basically there has to be a base resin that they start with, just like BASF, they dont make the resin they make it better, Retro
