GTX has it nailed....it has come to light in recent years that certain pigments will cause different reaction characteristics. This is perhaps the reason why some people throw certain colored balls better than others. And may also explain why Lane 1's entire catalog for 06-07 was blue and silver except teh cherry XXXL.
With not much time to get these balls out and on the lanes my guess was that they tweaked the resin formulation in the G Force to get the pearl and stuck with the red because they had a basic understanding of how the balls reacted.
Thus far I am getting a silly angular reaction from the Evolution although our PBA pattern last night was hardly the place to test it out properly (50' ToC pattern) but the few balls I threw on the other pattern (a not so easy house pattern) it was more angular than any ball I have thrown from Lane 1.
Yes, Nappy, the ball did require a weighthole. The cg punch was outside the diamond so it actually had a longer pin than the box said and therefore I needed a hole 2" below my PAP to get the sideweight down from 1-1/4 to 5/8 oz and remove the 1/4 thumb back to 1/8 finger.
Yes the balls are gorgeous and I am still taking orders for anyone who is interested....for the price I am selling them at it's borderline silly to not try one...no more than a Paradigm or Inferno.....
