need your opinion on drilling the BCB
« on: September 28, 2005, 09:34:48 AM »
well .. I have the SCB drilled 3-3/8 .. and this is for flooded lanes
I also have SCB drilled label 1:30
the Soild Uraniums I have
1- drilled stacked 3-3/8
2- 12 o'clock over the label

the Pearl Uranium I have is drilled 3-3/8 with pin just above the fingers line

the Solid Uraniums give a strong arc which allow me to play a big swing shot
the Pearl Uranium is a skid with insane snap

I would like to fit the BCB between the Solid Uraniums and the Pearl Uranium

the BCB I am getting is pinout 2-3 ... I am thinking to drill it stacked 3-3/8 but not sure how close the ball reaction will be to the Solid Uranium that is drilled 12 o'clock over the label

I don't favor drillings that kick the CG out 30 degree or so ... this drilling doesn't really fit my style

some people think I am a strong stroker .. others say I am a cranker
as I always play a swing shot regardless to the lane condition

some might say I have many balls drilled stacked .. I know, and I meant it
I am with the theory that if you are comfortable with a specific layout(s) .. then stick with them as you will understand the balls and perform better

your inputs will be appreciated

GTX, Wish I could help, but after the last post for storm, I'm totally confused. Maybe triggerman, lane1bowler, or JPR can help you out. The only advise I can give is study the tech data on the lane one site. Sorry!

hehe  no problem

I already looked at the drilling sheet .. which is actually made me ask  lol

I am just worried the Solid Uranium will be very close to BCB after I drill it

I have at one time had all of the balls you are speaking of. If the BCB is polished, & the solid U is oob 800 matte finish, you will have a different look between the two. If they are both polished or both dull, then you may get a reaction that overlaps. You might consider a 1 o'clock label drilling to give you more length than your uraniums. Even with your one uranium with pin at 12 o'clock, the BCB should be longer because of surface.

The S.U. I have are dull, as they came.

however, the one drilled 12 oclock over the label has a nice length before it makes a very strong arc

the skid this S.U. has because of this drill .. made me think of what I read about the BCB .. 8" potential flare means the ball has some skid .. and this is why I am asking

also, don't forget the Pearl Unranium ..

it is just sometimes I feel there is a gap between the S.U. and the P.U. .. hence why I am getting the BCB

I am also considering to go with 3-3/8 and have the BCB polished .. just not sure how much the polish will effect the BCB backend

hope this made it clear

I would go with a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 stack on the Black Cherry Bomb. This layout will be between a stacked leverage and the 12:00 over the label Solid Uranium.

It'll also fit between the 12:00 over the label solid Uranium and the Pearl 3 3/8 Uranium. =:^D

I already have the H2O drilled stacked with pin below the fingers line ( pinout 2") and I have the HDB drilled pin under the fingers and the CG kicked out.  I rarly use the HDB, saddly to say .. hence why I am staying away from CG kicked out drillings ... if I was back in the US where the houses clean the backend .. this will be a different story

I am in the UK at the moment.  Here, we have no backend at all.  it is always a carry down and the lane condition either flood or heavy oil .. hope this will show why I go for the strong drillings

I have the Tsunami coming next week and I already planned its drilling (12 oclock label with pin under the fingers) (pinin 1.5")
