Although the picture is of an apparently black ball, the only Buzzsaw I recall that had the "Pro - Buzzsaw" actually engraved on it was the Pro Purple Buzzsaw.
The Pro Purple is THE major control ball; it was a particle pearl that came with a very mild polish, hardly shined at all. It had medium-low RG with a very low RG differential, which translated into veyr little flare. The cover was strong enough, depending on drilling and hand to handle medium- light to medium-heavy oil patterns, with, of course, mediums being its strength.
The cover is Brunswick's 2nd issue particle cover; as such it is manipulated with Trizact pads PERFECTLY, and will last virtually forever, with the tiniest bit of care.
Obviously I owned one (two, actually) and I loved it. YOu can take it with you everywhere and be assured you can always get to the pocket with it. Ideal for sport shots and PBS patterns and any flat oil shots where you need som control.
I would NOT drill it at the extremes; keep it somewhere in the middle.
