Title: old purple buzzsaw..info?

i was given a purple buzzsaw (not pro) and I LOVE IT but if i decide to resurface it what was the origional surface 1000 polish grit,1200...any info on this old ball for which i cant find any info on?

its not really in bad shape i just would like to know......

Seems to me this surface was about 1000 sheen.  I'd start with 800 sheen, try it and then polish as necessary to get the reaction you're wanting.

Don;t think I remember this ball being shiny.
