Title: OOB Surface on Black Fire
Post by: adman on January 31, 2011, 12:38:06 AM
Can anyone tell me what abralon pad(s) will get my Black Fire close to the OOB 6421 Compound 2X Finish? I'm not sure which abralon grit this would be equivalent to.
Thanks for your help

6421 is
60 micron
40 micron
20 micron
10 micron
appears to be
240
360
800
2000
abralon would be in the
180
500
1k
4k
or something pretty darn close to that

Guys, what kind of compound finish are you using or what is best compund to use for the 2X compound finish portion of returning this to OOB
I carry a gun, cause a cop is to heavy.

Compound finish is something like brunswick rough buff. It's like a polish that has some grit to it. 3M makes some good rubbing compounds too

what I would do is find a surface that works for you and use that, got to remember this fiinish is very quickly done at the plant, 30 sec each grit IIRC
I have not changed my BF or Boom R'ang surface yet. i did on my time bomb and pink panther tho
