Then what is the core and cover of the Cranberry Buzzsaw going to be?

Should be just a Blueberry in drag....right?

Crazy! You would think they were developing some top secret WMD. They make good bowling balls but their "we can neither confirm nor deny" attitude is quite laughable,IMO of course.

Well you guys have to figure that a solid Cherry Bomb was in the works. And if the solid Cherry will be released, then there is no need for a Blueberry anymore since the Cherry will be a "better" ball.

As for the Cranberry, this may well be the "mid-priced" ball that I have been hearing about. New core with a well used cover I am told. Perhaps something to combat the Jekyll & Hyde or the Hot Rod and Hot Wire???

Time will tell. I have spoken to Lane 1 every day this week and still no definites.....

I thought that they would be putting out a "new" XL to replace the current one, then they would have the XXXL, XXL and the XL for the burnt to light conditions. Is the new ball going to be called the Cranberry or will it be a Cranberry XL?  Come on, somebody knows!!!!  Take care....JS

Hey guys listen...drill wizard and I are both in the top 10 for sales with Lane 1 (although drillwizard is farther up the list than I am :-) )and the boys there won't tell us anything. The only other guy that may have a clue is Beans since he is a sponsored staffer but anything which he is testing will probably also be hush hush.

Give them some time guys. remember Lane 1 is not like several other companies that bombard you with a hurricane or tornado of new balls every 4 weeks. When they decide to release a new ball, they want to make sure it is right and will perform as advertised.

I mean look at Track...the Hex Darkside looked like a great ball from the advertisements I have seen but they axewd the project eventhough they already told us it was coming. Would you rather have a bunch of teasers out there telling you 1/2 truths or just have to wait a little extra time and get the whole truth the first time?

Trust me the new balls will be worth the wait. The X-factor Deuce can move over as soon as the solid Cherry arrives because it will be awesome. As for teh Cranberry, we will need to wait and see where it will fall and the same with the urethane ball...time will tell.

Paitence gentlemen, patience.....

Actually I am #1 in the whole United States in sales, way ahead of Beans.

I know exactly what the core is going to be in the Cranberry, and its not the same as the Blueberry, just not sure if Lane #1 wants everyone to know or not.

Its a very good idea on the Cranberry core by Richie, something familiar with a twist.

Maybe I will ask them tomorrow if I can say or not.

Just stating the facts.

If you dont like it no problem here, you are entitled to your opinion.

You know David.....I am seriously surprised at your reply.

First off I never even implied that Beans was ahead of you in sales...did I? So why restate it? You have said it in other posts.....big deal. I simply said that maybe Beans had an idea since perhaps he was testing the ball...don;t get so defensive.

OK so you know what the core is going to be...good for you. Why tell everyone that you know so that they can get even more torqued at Lane 1 for not letting anyone else know? What good does it do for you to know...you going to buy all of them for yourself? The customers are the ones buying...it makes the company look bad if you are out there flaunting yourself saying that you have info and are not going to say.

And to address your other statement...of course it is a good idea by Richie. He has yet to put together a bad weightblock. In fact if he had written his patent slightly different, he could have nearly cornered the market on ball cores.

Regards,

Ruff, you are pretty new here, and obviously dont know me.

The post was just there to state the facts not to be arrogant.

Doug,

You should not feel a threat by my post, but you lumped me in a group by saying, that I wasnt getting any info from Lane #1, which was wrong, and I just wanted to point that out.

Thats the only reason , I reposted about the core, the #1, and everythingelse.

If you knew me ,which you do not, you would know that I am laid back , and it takes a lot for me to get defensive about anything.

I could be wrong here,  but seems to me you are getting very defensive about this issue, by the wording of your response, funny thing is I never directed anything towards you personally.

I could do that but I dont need to.

That is very true , but I told all of the pre-order cutomers what they are buying.(core-wise)

I am glad you pointed that out though , I left that out of my post.

I got it!  It's a diamond core that has been twisted (like a drill bit?).  Isn't that what Drillwizard told us...."something familiar with a twist".  Ha!  Take care....JS

Could the fact that you replied right after my post and addressed the items in my post that I thought you were directing your reply to me?? Hmm...could be???

As far as a threat...I don't. My customers are my customers for a reason and will continue to be my customers for the reasons they became my customers in the first place. No problems there.

You are quite correct...I do not know you and after having dealt with you once or twice I really have no desire to deal with you any further. Some posts which you have put out have allowed me to file you in a category of people that I don't care to deal with. My personal opinion, my personal right to feel that way.

Defensive? I don't see it as being defensive. I just do business differently than you do. That's all. I do things my way, you do things your way. I have learned the game of retail from a different angle than you have apparently. That's all....don't read into it any further than is needed.

No problems here...

From what I understand, the Cherry Bomb solid does not have a name as of yet and is being tested now.  It is due out mid to late August.  The XXL which is must likely going to be the urethane is tentatively scheduled for late in the year the exact month is in question (Nov - Dec).  As for the Cranberry release will also be in August, the original idea was just a color change. When the test ball came in the color was close to the a Pink Raspberry; it will probably be darker when release.  As for the new core design they are several thoughts dependent on the reaction of balls tested.  This is why no one has stated what it may be.  One of the designs were just 2 small stacked diamonds. Again, no one is sure what the final product will be as of yet.

I have come to respect many in this forum. Let's all get along. This is 1 of the best forums and Doug and Drillwizard are liked by all. Let's continue to share as much as we can.

Yes we do business very differently, and for that I am glad.

But I do appreciate all the bumps to the top , for I have sold 4 more just last night.

No hard feelings.

Keep the orders coming.

I heard this week that the solid Cherry Bomb will be called the Black Cherry.  Are you positive that we have to wait until end of year for the XXL?  Take care....JS

JS,
That was schedule that was given to me as of Monday.  Only 2 balls were to be released in August (Cranberry and Black Cherry).

Thanks for the kind words OLI. I just personally am not one for secrecy when buying products. When someone announces that they have the new and improved, super duper whatever, I want to know why it is new and improved. What has changed to make it so revolutionary? That was one thing that really annoyed me with Brunswick when they developed the Quantum. The core design was all hush hush and then you had to be a participating partner and buy so much to get them etc. So the whole concept just bothers me.

I just got off the phone with Richie and I have basically the same news to report that you did...

They are planning 3 new balls, the first of which will be a solid Cherry Bomb. The second will most likely be a urethane as has been stated before but the Cranberry is still up in the air.

The orignal intention for the Cranberry was to be a color change of the Blueberry but they decided to make it different to a degree. They are indeed modifying the core to give the ball it's own character but they have not yet received all of their test balls to see which design they like the best.

From what I was told, the Cranberry will most likely be the last ball they release for this reason. They have no set in stone pricing either at this point but he did give me some ballpark figures so if anyone is interested, drop me a line.
