Difference Hybrid; Experiences?
« on: May 13, 2017, 07:52:25 PM »
So has anyone here have any experience with one of these? If so, please relate. Is this just gimmick or are there genuine benefits of high intermediate diff?

Certainly the $310 price tag is prohibitive, but I saw one today for 150 new. Had me wondering about it.

The thing I find with  very high intermediate diff balls is they're very touchy to drill and there is too much midlane.

 Just a gimmick.

Trust this: If a gigantic intermediate diff was that big of a deal, the "Big Boys" would have one too.

Just something done for doings sake. Kind of like all those Z spin balls that everybody drilled wrong............😡🙄😡😡😡😡

Back 10? years or so MoRich made a lot of similar balls.  If you "spin" the ball a lot (higher tilt and a lot of axis rotation) they looked really good.  But since few balls now have the huge intermediate differential, it's probably not good for the average bowler.

Thanks all, that's about what I figured.  Also had the lady buzz saw for 110. I've actually seen that one thrown and it looked pretty good.  But it's not really fitting any holes for me.

I would almost venture a wager to say the large intermediate diff of the MoRich balls of a decade ago is what caused the downfall of MoRich and why the company does not exist today. The balls were EXTREMELY drill and user specific. I know many folks who drilled a few of the balls, were garbage for them, and even when MoRich scurried away from the huge intermediate diff, customers did not come back.

Could the ball have its use? Yep. But it is like fitting a square peg in a round hole...there are other choices that are probably better out there for you.
