Since it's a Brunswick cover it's 400 grit with Brunswick high gloss polish over it...

Thanks for both responses. Mine feels (or more appropriately, felt) like 1000 plus a light polish. It's now whatever the base grit was + Storm ReactaShine. Whatever's going on, this ball has never handled as much oil as I thought it would or should.
