redrill on an old favorite
« on: January 29, 2006, 12:05:00 PM »
I am in the process of regaining a "pink" raspberry that a friend of mine has.  It was mine, I bought it and used it for a while.  The ball has a pin axis drill on it and did not react the way I thought it would.  So here is my question.  I plan on plugging it and redrilling it either with a thumb leverage drill (my cherry is drilled this way) or possibly a modified 1:30 drill.  I do not want this ball to get too specific, and I plan on taking the surface to 1000 sanded after I am done?  Oh the ball should maybe have a couple of hundred games on it so the cover should still be in great shape.  Any thoughts on what I should expect?  I am thinking it will be between my scb, and my cherry and able to handle the oil and carry down better than the cherry.  Ball is 15 lbs, 21/2 to 3 inch pin, top weight, unk.  Thanks
