What if...
« on: November 11, 2003, 08:34:46 AM »
Lane 1 didn't exist, what would you be bowling with? Me, either Roto-Grip or possibly even MoRich. This is purely curiosity. Just starting a topic for the sake of starting one. It would be nice to know what you all think though.

Ebonite V'2's and the old Brunswick Quantums.

In the old days, they used axes to chop up wood...Nowadays, they use "BUZZSAWS".

If Lane 1 didn't exist then that's one less company I'd have to experiment with.  I'd continue to use AZO, Visionary, Morich, and old Track regularly.

Hey APK, AZO is still making bowling balls?!? I thought they went out of business a while back. While I'm at it, what do you think about their equipment?

From what I've seen .. AZO was on the brink of closing down but recovered pretty STRONGLY. In the beginning they were doing OVERSEAS sales then suddenly I see quite a bit from them. Before their downfall (then recovery) I used them often and was surprised at their products.

To the question .. to me LANE 1 DOESN'T EXISTS .. until they wake up that the BOWLERS will NOT be over charged .. I don't see them! I do use DYNO-THANE/ROTOR GRIP/EBONITE and STORM.

Shoutout,

AZO was purchased by Lanemasters, and produces both companies bowling balls, which I might add are an exceptional product.

The overseas market for AZO is represented by Legend Star, if they have anything to do the American AZO I'd like to know but don't right now.

If anyone doesn't know AZO uses solid urethane cores compared to whatever else companies might use today.  I'll tell you first hand AZO bowling balls hit extremely hard, harder than Visionary and Lane 1, and carry better then both of them as well.

Of course there are exceptions with every company though...

Storm or Roto!  Then again, if I there were no Saw, I might have to take up "tiddly-winks, with man-hole covers.

DRAGON .. Thanks for your advise! In my home office where I  sit at this moment, I have 3 computer and three printers, 2 Ebonite BOWLING RACKS that house 18 bowling balls .. 3 of which are LANE 1 balls .. I'm sure there are Bowlers out there (as you suggest) that can afford a lot more then me (or you) .. does that me I should close my eyes to someone who is being RAPED? I tell NO ONE what to do .. when a QUESTION IS ASKED I give my HONEST OPINION .. and my HONEST OPINION IS .. LANE 1 BALLS ARE OVER PRICED!

i think we'd all survive to live another day. as long as we have track, storm and roto grip, we dont need anyone else, even though AMF is getting some attention again!!!

Dragon,

Were you referring to the Cherry Bomb as too much ball for your game?? Private Message me and let me know what layout you have for it right now.

Oh yeah, if I was going to throw with a main ball manufacturer it would be Track. Forgot about them.
