Pearl Cherry Question

I have a pearl cherry that is starting to show some ware on it and needs a light resurface.  Should I use sandpaper or scotchbrite on it?

I contacted Lane 1 and they said I don't need to use Trizact on it.  They also said that the factory finish on it is roughly 1200 grit.  I asked if I could use Finesse-IT or Black Magic to polish it and they said that they are probably too smooth for the box finish and I should use more coarse rubbing compound.  Any suggestion for the rubbing compound?

Any help would be appreciated.

When you say Pearl Cherry do you mean the Cherry Pearl C2 or the Cherry Bomb?

Either way they are resins so you can use sandpaper but remember that you will get a different look if you sand the ball and polish no matter what grit or polish you use.

My Cherry Bomb started to show some dulling of the track area and I scuffed it with 800 grit paper and then hit it with tracks clean n sheen and then storm's xtra shine....the ball goes a lot longer and doesn't finish as hard now.

My suggestion would be to do a 600 grit sanding on the entire ball and then go with a clean n sheen and then some polish on top.

I have a cherry pearl.  I have sanded it a couple of times, and hit it with the Storm polish.  Like Doug said it will go quite a bit longer.  I also tried it sanded, 1000 I believe.  Didn't like that finish too much the ball tended to not have any snap.  Wound up sanding it, bringing it all the way up with 4000 paper, (stuff looks like a sponge).  Ball definitely flips, just very condition specific now.
