ACTUALLY, it will be different for everyone. Pin over ring or pin under ring means absolutely NOTHING if we dont know your PAP. PAP is how everything in layouts is tied together. For some people, pin over ring may have an aboslutely different reaction then someone else.

I am a high tracker and rev 400+ with above average speed, the driling pattern is so fine in synthetic lane but the ones that I bowl with the most is old wood lane, fresh oil is no problem but after serval games, the lanes are very easy to broken down, when I play deep, the ball leave weak 10 because of spoty carry down and dry head, (sometime 7-10 split), when I play down and in, the ball hit hard but half of the time brooklyn, the only success of the lane 1 ball with this layout in my house is play like walter ray in outside part but this could waste the lane1 ball ability in someway. the backend of the lane is really slippy as my XXL cannot get a good recovery as this house is very easy to get into a reverse block situation.

...well...that still doesnt tell us your PAP. (positive axis point) And, who cares if your not using a ball to its full potential? I mean, if your scoring, why does it matter? Throw the ball walter ray style if it works. Just because a ball can go long and snap, or hook a lot doesnt mean you should ALWAYS throw it like that. Adjust my friend, its part of the game.
