hows everybody scoring with the pink panther?
« on: November 17, 2010, 04:17:48 PM »
i used to be a sawhead back in the day when brunswick poured the covers for lane 1. i left when they went to columbia coverstocks and have not tried one since. now i look at the video of the pink panther and like the reaction of the ball. reminds me of the way the older lane 1 rolled.

now my favorite lane 1 balls of all time were the pearl and solid uraniums. i had these drilled stacked with pin next to ring finger. now if i drill a pink panther should i keep this layout since its matched me well in the past?

my girlfriend just got a used pink panther. i decided to throw it before she had it fitted for her and had a 227 and 258 with it. 3 9 pins and then 2 10 pins. i used to have a hyroad and this seemed very similar to it but a little more predictable. goes very long and then drives hard. it was drilled with pin slighty right of ring finger

The Pink Panther (PP) is probably the most versatile ball Lane#1 has produced in a long time. It's essentially the Uranium line on steroids.

I can throw the PP on most PBA patterns, and well as the full range of THS shots. The ball shines on anything except for the extremes.

If you liked the Uraniums, you won't go wrong with the PP.

I LOVED my uranium cored balls..... the pink is very similar to them, if I had same release and speed on the ball now as I did then I would like it even more...

It is a very predictable ball. I am thinking on a cover adjustment.... to bring it to standard for me.

I have had extreme difficulty having consistant games since my motorcycle accident.. and this ball along with bowling a bit more often has been the most consistant thing going.... besides my uranium pearl.... man I can't get enough of that ball LOL.
