Questions on Lane 1
« on: October 23, 2006, 11:58:38 PM »
Hi to all Lane 1 users, my Pro shop owner is now a Lane 1 distributor and he higher recommend me to change to Lane 1 as he and many other league bowlers have managed to improve their average. As you can see from my profile, I have used many other brands, Brunswick and Ebonite and Hammer are my favourite.
Would like to ask if it is worthwhile to convert to Lane 1 ?
He recommended two Lane 1 balls... Tsunami and Solid Cobalt. Any feedback on this two balls ? If I am to drill up one of them, which one would it be ?
Thanks for the advices....

those are probably the two best in the line up, should you switch?  depends, how well are you scoring with your other stuff?  are you looking for a different look on the lanes?  the balls are not magical, good yes, sometimes great depending on the bowler.  that being said, I switched 7 years ago, i have experimented with other stuff during that time, but seem to continue to come back to lane #1.  Why? because i match up well with them.  Bottom line if you match up you will like them, if you dont match up you will think you wasted money.  my advice is get a used ball give it a whirl and see if it fits your game

Thanks Triggerman, I am doing quite well with Brunswick balls, esp the AI and Vapor ZOne but not so with the Radical. Ebonite ok but the One series lifespan is too short for my liking even with constant cleaning after games. For Hammer I only have the Black Widow, good ball.
The main reason why I like to try out Lane 1 is because I would like to see what their balls can do and if it matches up with me.
It's difficult to get a used Lane 1 ball over here. Based on the many good reviews that many have posted here on the Tsunami...I thought of drilling one to try it out..

Hi it's me again, as from my last post, I have great succeed with Brunswick's Absolute Inferno and Vapor Zone in our house league. AI is drilled pin below and left of ring finger and Vapor is drilled pin below bridge. I am a lefty.
I have a few lane 1 balls in mind, Tsunami, Soild Cobalt and the Cobalt Bomb. Any advice on which of these 3 balls above will have a similar reaction to the AI or the Vapor ? And How should it be drilled ?.
