Also does it seem that lane 1 may be lowering their prices? The H2O was priced less than the dirty bombs or the other current equipment (excluding the XXXL and the Bullet) and the tsunami is priced at $155 on buddies.

If you don't like the price so what don't use them let others do that and just get something CHEAPER!!!!!!!

It seems to work even while people KNOW that they use Brunswick coverstocks - which is not bad at all. Probably it works well BECAUSE big B is a company with a good rep. It is probably part of the marketing strategy!
Personally, I think it is O.K., and I will be going to get a MoRich ball here in Germany instead of a Brunswick Inferbno line ball - for the looks and "having something different", even when it will be hard to get and more expensive.
It is like with cars: you can have an Audi TT or a New Beetle - under the hood they are much the same, but they are designed for different target groups with different demands and budgets to spend.
Another company with creative marketing is Lanemasters: I always wonder why people seriously BELIEVE that there was diamond dust in their particles? They are just called that way, probably consisting of carbide (diamond base, though), there is no proof from the manufacturer. But people BELIEVE in the performance of the stuff and are willing to pay that extra bucks which make the small manufacturer that bit special.
Just some thoughts form an advertsing guy...
The best example I have seen so far are the Elite balls: they are pure Brunswick material: coverstock & cores - and somehow they seem to sell at astronomic prices?

The H2O is advertised as a Hybrid Pearl and the Tsunami has been advertised as a Hybrid Polished reactive. So it is possible that the last three balls from Lane 1 have been Lane 1 coverstocks as well as cores.

They may have designed them, but they were still Brunswick based covers. Wasn't the hybrid cover PK18 and activator?
